How It's Funded

Utilities pay properties to install charging. Most owners never claim it.

These programs run through your electric utility. They exist because the grid needs chargers built — and they're structured so the property owner isn't the one paying for the buildout.

Make-ready infrastructure

Utility make-ready programs — Eversource and United Illuminating in Connecticut, with counterparts in each state we serve — cover the electrical work between the grid and the charger: trenching, conduit, panel upgrades, wiring. For qualifying sites this can reach up to 100% of eligible costs, depending on program, segment, and location.

Equipment rebates

Per-port rebates on approved networked chargers — Level 2 and DC fast alike — reduce or eliminate the hardware cost itself. DC fast equipment sits in its own rebate tier, typically higher per port to reflect the larger installation.

Ongoing revenue

Once energized, chargers bill drivers for use through the network's payment system, and can earn additional payments through managed-charging participation. The asset pays you — it isn't a cost center on the property's books.

Level 2 or DC Fast

Two different chargers, for two different visits.

We install both. The right one depends on how long a vehicle sits at your property — not on which is "better."

Level 2 — for long stays

AC charging, typically adding 10–20 miles of range per hour. The right fit for multifamily overnight parking, workplace lots, and anywhere a vehicle sits for hours rather than minutes.

Level 3 — DC fast charging

A real charge in 20–40 minutes instead of hours, by drawing far more power to do it. The right fit for retail, hospitality, and fleet or highway-adjacent sites where vehicles turn over quickly.

The tradeoff worth knowing

That speed comes from pulling a large amount of power in a short burst — the same pattern that drives up a property's demand charges. If DC fast charging is on the table, it's worth having the battery storage conversation at the same time, not after the fact.

How It Works

Site review

A short call and a site walk. We check parking layout, existing electrical capacity, and which incentive tier the property falls into. No cost, no commitment.

Utility filing

We prepare and submit the full make-ready and rebate application with your utility, and manage the approval process end to end.

Installation

Licensed, insured crews handle the make-ready electrical work and charger installation, permitted and inspected, scheduled around your tenants and operations.

Activation

Chargers go live on the network, driver billing turns on, and the property is EV-ready — a line item on the listing, not the budget.

Eligibility

Most properties with dedicated parking qualify.

Your property likely qualifies if
It's in one of our seven states and has dedicated, owner-controlled parking
It's a multifamily building, office, retail, hotel, or other commercial site
The electrical service has — or can reasonably add — capacity for charging equipment
For DC fast charging specifically: higher available power and a high-turnover use case — retail, hospitality, fleet, and highway-adjacent sites are the strongest fit
You own the property or can bring the decision to the owner

We verify electrical capacity for you at no cost. Program funding is allocated in cycles, so timing matters more than perfection — most properties are worth a look.
